Why Supporting Your Local Library Is the Ultimate Homage to Ray Bradbury
“When I graduated from high school in 1938, I began going to the library three nights a week,” said Bradbury. “I did this every week for almost ten years and finally, in 1947, around the time I got married, I figured I was done. So I graduated from the library when I was twenty-seven. I discovered that the library is the real school.”
Because today hasn’t come with enough bad news, I have to go to our monthly budget meeting where I will be told (again) that there have been cuts, there will be more cuts and there is nothing we can do about it. So I’ve decided to run across the street to grab some coffee and use the free WiFi to download this little book so I can concentrate on happy kitchen thoughts and not on what a massive waste of time and money grad school is turning out to have been.
